You all really like Excalibur Gray – enough you’ve order more this year than any other year!
The last of the Excalibur Gray has headed out the door and I’ve put it on Backorder. The truck is somewhere bringing it, pre-Covid this could take up to two weeks. If you do order it backorder, it will be shipped the day it gets here.
We do have plenty of Excalibur White, Tan, Blue, Green, and Violet. There is also Merlin’s Magic in Gray, White, Dark Gray ,and Buff.
We just received the order from the Manufacturer yesterday this does indeed mean that I could turn back on Drop Ship. There are two aspects of this that make me warry of doing so.
FedEx finally did reach out to all my queries in January – yesterday. The $24 surcharge on top of shipping for 50lb boxes is here to stay. Even if we did the work around, those that got grandfathered in without it, are loosing it here come next January.
Once I unwrapped the pallets yesterday I noticed on the Drop Ship boxes. “Net Weight 47.5 lbs” I make sure Bulk packaged are indeed 50 lbs. You paid for 50 lbs, and that’s what I send out. I don’t order in 25lb boxes so I don’t know if they have a change to them or not.
When we found out the manufacturer was closed and people still wanted Drop Ship, we looked at our shelves recently restocked and started offering Bulk so that people could still get plaster. Many of you were grateful since being inside and not going out gave you time to catch up on your crafting backlog. The overall opinion of this is people like it.
So we took a look at things and are going to keep the offering around. There is only one change coming to Bulk as it rolls out for the long run – the price. One thing that in our hurry to keep people in plaster is I did underestimate the pricing of Bulk. I was more in issue crisis mode of get people what they wanted I did miscalculate all the costs in providing it.
For Drop Ship customers, as a warning, there may be an increase in FedEx shipping costs from FedEx themselves. Please take note of the cost of shipping on checkout. The website pulls the data directly from FedEx for your shipments.
We are working with our distributor to attempt to keep these costs down for you. We will attempt to keep you updated as we get updates on FedEx new pricing schedule.
It’s GenCon Season once again that means here we will be at GenCon but not as vendors. Do you really want to carry plaster back from the convention instead of that shiny gaming loot?
We do have a way to add plaster in without breaking your con budget. “GenCon2018” will give you 5% off orders of packaged plaster until the end of the Convention. This is because you know that your going to come up with awesome ideas that you want to try when you get back.
That getting back thing… with GenCon means things here slow down a bit so it’s not the same out the door the same day you order (excluding Sundays) that you usually have, orders will be delayed during GenCon and this is also our way of trying to make up for that a bit as well.
